Are you experienced in location and studio filming and adept at shooting video, operating lights and audio equipment? As a Creative Film Director you will be leading and contributing to the filming and editing of Play Sports Network Premium video output. This often involves working on location, both in the UK and abroad. You must have an excellent base of creative filmmaking skills and your work should be an inspirational example to the video creative team.
You will be responsible for the creative delivery of content, being the creative lead of your group as well as leading the filmmaking team and development of video content across premium groups and channels (Road, Triathlon or Off Road) .
You’ll work closely with the producer in your group, lead the group’s creative strategy and direct shoots to deliver on the editorial strategy and commercial plans. You will work with producers, production managers and research coordinators to interpret and realise the creative vision.
You will develop and inspire the Filmmaking team in your group to increase both technical and creative ability to constantly evolve PSN’s content. You will instil the work ethic required in your team and especially Filmmakers, and demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills, a passion for working in a fast paced, dynamic environment and a desire to get the job done.
On location the Creative Film Director works independently or with a presenter as part of a small team. On a large project you may work with a sound effects editor, music editor and assistant editors.
