DIRECTOR OF CONSULTING – INTEGRATION PRACTICE

TransformaTech, Inc is looking for a Director of Consulting to lead and manage our Integration Practice. This is a leadership role that will also be responsible for sales, project management, and billable project consulting.   The director will be responsible for, and will be compensated based on, profitability and success of the integration practice.  

ESTIMATED BREAKDOWN OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management and Mentoring Team – 25%

Sales – 25%

Billable Consulting – 25%

Other (including additional internal projects, sales, management, and billable consulting) – 25%

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and direct all aspects of assigned activities in the integration practice with respect to objectives, practices, and initiatives. 
• Responsible for driving, meeting, and maintaining utilization targets of the integration practice.
• Supervise, mentor, and coach integration practice team members, including performance reviews, time/expense approvals and tracking, and career development of team members.
•  Manage and direct consultants to guarantee the success of projects by ensuring compliance with client requirements to meet milestones, deadlines, and budget goals.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to expand and deepen relationships with existing accounts and cultivate new sales opportunities.
• Identify, create, package, and promote new service offerings.
• Lead workshops and white-boarding sessions for clients as part of business development, sales, and project initiatives.
• Provide thought leadership to position and reinforce TransformaTech as a subject matter expert – speaking sessions at industry event, writing blogs, materials, etc.
• Responsible for achieving revenue & margin targets and maintaining budget performance. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior consulting experience is required
• 5-10 years leadership experience operating in a global, IBM-centric organization
• Demonstrated track record improving operations and increasing profitability
• 5+ years’ hands-on project management and technical experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and/or IBM Integration Bus (IIB)
• Management and Consulting experience working in challenging, fast pace environments in multiple industries (retail, government, financial, insurance, etc)
• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, standards and procedures for high quality software development
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution skills
• Critical thinking, decision-making, and leadership aptitudes
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with peers, management, clients, and partners
• Superior organizational, documentation, and problem solving abilities
• Considerable travel may be required and is determined by the location of client engagements. 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience with non-IBM related middleware technologies such as Oracle, MuleSoft, Tibco, Fuse, or other technologies.
• Demonstrable vertical knowledge across multiple industries (i.e. Healthcare, Finance, Government and/or Retail) is highly desired.
