HVAC Trainer - Technical Expert

HVAC TECHNICAL EXPERT JOB SUMMARY: The Trainer is responsible for the developing each member of our team of “A” players. The trainer will create a technical curriculum that includes classroom lectures, lab classes for smaller groups, skills trainings and field development sessions. The Trainer will work with the department managers and the field supervisors to ensure that each individual has a development plan that is custom designed and being implemented. This will help create a team of individuals who are properly trained and supported to be able to provide an exceptional experience for each of our customers at each interaction. The Trainer will be responsible for developing exceptional individuals and doing everything necessary to put them in a position to succeed. A professional appearance and behavior must be maintained at all times.

Candidate must possess a passion for people development and public speaking, with a high level of technical aptitude and organization skills to effectively train our employees.

HVAC TECHNICAL EXPERT MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will possess a track record of training and developing others while being passionate about learning about our industry.
Maintaining a high level of servant leadership is critical to success in this role.

The Trainer’s duties and responsibilities include:

• Expertise in the the service and installation of all residential equipment, including traditional forced-air systems, steam and hot water-based systems, oil, high velocity, ductless systems, and more, as needed.
• Train HVAC technicians and installers of all levels to continue their development

• Develop and run curriculum and training classes

• Provide technical support to HVAC technicians and installers
• Work with Managers and Field Supervisors to plan and implement individual development plans for each member of our field team

• Ensure all field team members are trained to successfully provide our “Green Bow Experience"

HVAC TECHNICAL EXPERT SKILLS NEEDED:

• HVAC Service Field Experience (3 years minimum REQUIRED)
• Exhibit in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC
• Ability to read, interpret, utilize, and train on manuals, schematics, and control circuits related to HVAC
• Technical aptitude with knowledge of local codes and an ability to use resources at hand to find solutions
• Excellent presentation skills to teach classroom style and lab trainings

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments
• Possess a strong personal desire for improvement, and the desire to motivate HVAC technicians to be better tomorrow than they are today
• Have a clean, neat, and professional appearance, a top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in themselves and in others
• Proficient in all aspects of HVAC function

• Positive attitude, exceptional people skills, professional appearance and behavior, and a desire to be your best

• Strong work ethic: reliable, dependable, punctual
• Must have driver’s license with clean record
• Able to pass a background and drug screening check (random testing may occur)
