Join Our Team as a Youth Mental Health Therapist!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you believe in the power of culturally competent, trauma-informed care to create real change? We’re seeking an inspiring Youth Mental Health Therapist to provide impactful, compassionate counseling to youth aged 7-18. In this non-clinical setting, you’ll address youth mental health challenges, support emotional wellness, and help youth and their families navigate their unique journeys toward healing and progress.  This position can be limited term for our summer session, which runs from June through August, with potential for long-term hire depending on the candidate's preference. 

This is a 3/4 FTE-/30 hour per week, non-billable position. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Individual & Group Therapy: Lead in-person and virtual sessions to support youth with diverse mental health needs.
  • Collaborate for Change: Work closely with families, caregivers, school staff, and community resources to create a supportive environment.
  • Embrace Trauma-Informed Practices: Use evidence-based, culturally responsive approaches to support clients’ mental and emotional well-being.
  • Document & Develop: Maintain client records, contribute to case management, and support ongoing Clubhouse initiatives to enhance emotional wellness.

 

What You Bring:

  • Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field. Preference for fully licensed (LPC, LCSW) candidates.  Or holds a current LCSW/LPC resident-in-training license (APSW license does not qualifiy for this position) 
  • Experience & Skills: 3+ years working with youth, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a high level of Trauma-Informed Care knowledge.
  • Personal Qualities: Compassionate, empathetic, flexible, with a knack for problem-solving and teamwork.

Schedule: 3/4 FTE/30 hours per week / M-TH; School Year Noon-6:00pm; Full Time/ M-TH; Summer 11:00am to 5:00pm

Pay: Licensed (LPC or LCSW ONLY) - $55,000-65,000, based on clinical experience
         In-Training Licensed - $44,000-50,000/year.  Clinical supervision provided toward practice hours accumulation.  Eligible for pay grade increase, upon becoming fully licensed.   Must hold a valid in-training license prior to hire.
