Systems Engineer
Bidtellect is a fast growing Native Demand Side Advertising Platform with an international Infrastructure presence. We’re looking for a talented Systems Engineer to join our highly experienced Infrastructure Team. Qualified candidates will have a background in IT, Data Center Systems Engineering, and/or Systems Engineering and Analysis. This position requires strategic thinking to meet the dynamic business requirements in an expanding and evolving ecosystem. Requirements
- Strong background in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows & Linux based environments
- Strong background in Linux Enterprise and Windows Server administration
- Strong background in VMware or Virtualization Administration
- Strong background in Windows Services such as Active Directory, DNS, Radius, LDAP, NCP, etc
- Solid understanding of the OSI Network Layers(TCP/IP Stack)
- Working understanding of Networking, including VLANs, Switching, Routing and Subnetting
- Comprehensive understanding of Cloud Platforms, including SAN Environments
- Experience with Windows Services & Clustering, MSSQL, Radius, LDAP, etc
- Experience with Code and Scripting (.NET, Python, Bash, Powershell)
- Experience with AWS Services and management
- Experience managing User Workstations and User Accounts in a distributed environment
- Experience with Data Lake environments such as Cloudera, Hadoop or MapR
- Experience with Data Streaming environments such as Kafka, Streams or Aerospike
- Experience with noSQL Database Platforms such as Couchbase or Vertica
- Knowledge of Best Practices of IT operations in an always available service
- Understanding of Security Best Practices in a multi user environment
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Hunger to learn new technologies and adapt to an evolving environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Administration or a Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an Enterprise Environment

- Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef or other automation tools
- Experience with Dell and Cisco UCS Server Platform
- Experience with Application Load Balancers
- Experience working in a Datacenter Environment
- Experience working with Virtual and Hardware Firewalls
- Experience with monitoring systems such as Datadog and Solarwinds
- Experience building Technical Visio Diagrams
- Experience with IIS configuration, Octopus, JumpCloud, Visual Cron, ManageEngine or other automated patching platforms
- Experience with PEN Testing
- Certifications or Specialized Training in regards to Computer Systems Engineering and Administration
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure to identify and resolve potential issues
- Deploy and maintain Security and Management Software to end users
- Install, configure and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools for virtual and physical server platforms
- Troubleshooting and identify system issues and work with developers and/or end users to resolution
- Write, maintain and adjust custom scripts to increase efficiency of system administration
- Maintain patch management of all systems
- Analyze and deploy systems requests from Development Teams
- Participates in capacity and scalability planning
- Research, develop, and implement new technologies and practices
- Leverage or build appropriate technical tools to perform administration tasks, root-cause analysis and service restoration such as , failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring
- On-Call rotation
