Are you a confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Angling Direct, the UK's leading fishing tackle retailer, is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Customer Service Advisor to join our friendly team!

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Customer Service team based at our Head Office in Rackheath, Norwich, this is a permanent full-time hybrid role working 42.5 hours per week with a starting rate of £13.21 per hour. To support our growing European customer base, applicants must be fluent in German and/or Dutch, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers – whether they’re seeking help, making a complaint, or just looking for information. Your ability to listen, empathise, and offer practical solutions will help shape a positive experience and lasting impression of our company.

 

You’ll need to be confident, quick-thinking, and tech-savvy, with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Handling enquiries and call-backs via phone, email, and live chat
  • Providing accurate information on products, services, and current promotions
  • Processing refunds, exchanges, and web-based returns
  • Monitoring and flagging potential fraudulent activity
  • Resolving disputes efficiently and professionally
  • Supporting the processing of customer returns and warranty items, including occasional handling of returned stock.
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth communication
  • Supporting admin and order fulfilment processes
  • Contributing to a positive, friendly, and proactive team culture

What We Are Looking For:

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a friendly tone
  • Ability to work under pressure with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable using computers and digital platforms
  • Proven problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Previous experience in customer service or call centre is desirable
  • Team player who can also work independently when needed
