Job Description

Key point of contact between banks International Data Domain Owners  (DDOs) and Risk Managers, Technology and Risk Information Services  within BI Market Risk and BI Credit Risk for all BCBS239 related  activity

 

The role holder will be responsible for the management of data  analysts covering multiple processes in support of the Data Domain

 

Owners across multiple BI Data Domains to attain and subsequently  maintain ongoing full compliance to all BCBS239 principles

 

The team will also assist with oversight activity which ensures that  all of the relevant BCBS239 controls are being operated and assessed  satisfactorily in line with Group Data Management Standards (GDMS) and  Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting Control Standards (DARCS).

 

The team will also be required to lead on all Non-RIS report activity  within BDP (Bank Data Portal) as both Business and Data Stewards


What will you be doing? 

Manage a team of analysts and provide ongoing coaching and development

 

Support the management of BCS239 BAU activity for the Risk Managers  and Data Domain Owners within BI Risk

 

Responsible for supporting the Risk Managers and Data Domain Owners  with the identification and resolution of control issues

 

Act as an escalation point and point of contact for the Risk Managers and Data Domain Owners for all topics related to BCBC239

 

Responsible for the management of the annual BCBS239 self-assessment  process on behalf of the Data Domain Owners

 

Accountable to act as Business Steward and Data Steward for all  BCBS239 relevant risk reports and data

 

What we're looking for: 

 

Minimum high quality undergraduate degree - 2.1 or equivalent

 

The role holder must have previous experience in a Risk & Control  function and/or banking regulatory requirements

 

To have, or have the ability to develop, a strong understanding of  BCBS239 principles and internal policies and standards

 

A proven track record of managing operational or risk teams

 

Ability to co-ordinate workload across multiple data domains and  project work streams

 

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and bring

tasks to complete closure Self-

motivated and comfortable working with large amounts of data

 

Excellent MS-Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and Visio

 

Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

 

Skills that will help you in the role: 

Previous data management or BCBS239 experience within a similar role

 

Understanding of data systems/ data architecture

 

Experience of working with distributed teams across different regions
