The Business Development Manager will work closely with existing large customers and potential prospects to create new business opportunities that will increase sales and profitability within the Packaging division.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture customer relationships on large accounts to effectively create value propositions and custom solutions that fit their needs   
  • Prospect for new business with large strategic accounts
  • Partner with external Sales team to seamlessly transfer new customers from initial company introduction thru becoming their supplier of choice
  • Coordinate sales activities on designated accounts, including collaborating with appropriate internal departments as needed
  • Act as key external representative for company during customer visits, tradeshows, etc. 
  • Build network and brand recognition for company by attending meetings, conferences, and other industry events 
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to maintain data integrity by accurately documenting and tracking sales and customer activities
  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity plans to obtain established goals
  • Prepare reports and sales presentations, as needed
  • Other duties or projects as assigned by Director of Sales

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related field required 
  • 5-7 years of experience in a business development or senior sales role required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation and sales techniques required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required 
  • Experience in an ERP software system required; Experience in NetSuite preferred
  • Experience working in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) required
