Starting salary - £35,463 rising to £37,329 per annum plus agile working allowance and an attractive benefits package

Job Summary

Are you looking for a new role that will help to shape the future of schools? Would you be interested in supporting school leaders when they need it most?

The aim of the role is to provide support to the Policy, Research, Press and Communications directorate in their work developing NAHT policy and influencing government.

What you will be doing:

  • Undertake research, create and analyse surveys, and collect and compile statistics.
  • Prepare and present reports, briefing papers and initial drafts of policy documents.
  • Assist with the production and delivery of presentations and campaign materials.
  • Monitor current and future policy activity by government and other external bodies.
  • Establish and maintain knowledge of relevant education practice and legislation.
  • Provide support for relevant National Executive Councils and Committees, including arranging meetings, preparing agendas and papers, taking minutes, providing administrative support and assisting with the follow-up of issues.

What we are looking for:

  • An enthusiastic individual educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Strong research capabilities through their academic and professional experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the capacity to write clearly and persuasively, speak articulately in professional settings, and deliver engaging presentations that effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • A demonstrated interest in education.
