Experienced required: At least 3 years of management or leadership in direct home health/hospice operations.

Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000/year (based on experience)

What you will do:

  • Oversee staff and departments at home health agencies, or divisions of hospitals or medical clinics serving patients at home. 
  • Hire and manage nurses and other health care staff who provide services to patients in home or non-clinical care environments. 
  • Adhere to guidelines on quality of care and in some cases, will be asked to create the guidelines based on state and organizational standards. 
  • Budgeting, resource planning, logistics and development and implementation of care plans for patients.​
  • Familiar with local, state and federal regulations governing home health care provision. 
  • Working with diverse staff members and patients makes strong "people" skills and customer service experience a must as well.​

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • 3+ years of experience in direct home health/hospice operations/management /leadership is required.
  • Significant management experience in hospice and home care operations with P&L responsibility, business development, and operational and clinical compliance.
  • Clinician who is licensed in Connecticut
  • A Masters degree in nursing with an active license to practice nursing in this state and at least (1) year of supervisory or administrative experience in a health care facility program OR a Master’s degree in Business or public health or administration or a related field or comparable experience, with a concentration of study in health services administration and at least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in a health care facility/program which included care of the sick; OR
  • A bachelors degree in nursing with an active license to practice nursing in this state and at least two (2) years supervisory or administrative experience in a health care facility/program with included care of the sick; OR A bachelors degree in administration with a concentration of study in health services administration and at least two (2) years' supervisory or administrative experience in a health care facility/program which included care of the sick;
  • Working and current knowledge of various State and Federal regulations including Medicare Conditions of Participation for hospice and home health agencies, and state licensing regulations for hospice.
  • Must possess proven leadership skills, strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to the principles and practice of hospice and home health services.
  • Able to apply a thorough knowledge of hospice and home health care delivery models and relevant financial acumen.
  • Travel is required
