Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for all facets of warehouse operations including, receiving and distribution. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel either personally or through subordinate supervisors, ensuring the processes and productivity targets are in accordance with established procedures and policies.      

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations, motivating and training employees for proficiency and growth opportunities.
• Maximize operational efficiency by using defined metrics to improve operational performance and effectively monitor the same.
• Manage and assign specific responsibilities to personnel.
• Schedule and assign employees based on daily workflow and backlog, maximizing shipping and receiving output.
• Demonstrate high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior, while operating in a fast-paced work environment.
• Maintain a high level of detail management.
• Continuously meet and develop internal standards for all warehouse, logistics, and inventory control.
• Manage stock control and reconcile with the data storage system.
• Liaise with client, supplies and transport companies.
• Adhere to regulatory standards for all warehousing, handling, and shipping.
• Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports to department head.
• Actively participate in weekly meetings to share updates, resolve issues and suggest opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
• Control inventory accuracy by reviewing cycle count programs.
• Ensure all team members are properly trained and certified to operate all equipment used in the warehouse consistent with OSHA requirements.
• Other duties and responsibilities consistent with operational goals and as needed.

Desired Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college/university in Supply Chain Management or Business Logistics preferred.
• 5 to 7 years supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, operations or another service-related environment.
• Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail.
